Born out of a lifetime of doodles, a passion for design and a lofty small business dream.
Hi! I’m Lesa – a Texas calligrapher, invitation designer and lover of all things home decor. A few years ago, I had one of those gut feelings that I could turn my serious doodle habit into something more. Before I knew it, I was knee-deep in a side hustle and praying that God would provide a way for it to be my full-time hustle. *Spoiler Alert* He did. 🙌🏻
Now, I spend my days helping clients make the details of their most important day – their wedding day – and their most important place – their home – unforgettable. I live with my college-sweetheart-turned-husband and Penny – our 87 pound, white Labradork – in South Texas. There’s no place else I’d rather be.
I believe in fridge-worthy wedding invitations that’ll have your guests saying “this is the prettiest invitation I’ve ever received!”
(Really, that’s happened a few times. 💁🏼)
I believe in a “come in, kick your shoes off, snuggle up, have a glass of wine and never want to leave” kind of home.
(What more could you want?!)
From the invitation monogram to wax seals and silk ribbons, I chase the pretty things. And, I have a knack for making it all work – the marriage of feminine details and masculine lines, torn edges and crisp letterpress – to create the invitation suite of your dreams. My brides like the intersection of where dainty meets rustic, believe in casual elegance, and want their wedding to have a cohesive look – from invitations to reception details.
Sound like your kind of wedding?
And the same goes for home decor. I love a nod to tradition, a light and cozy farmhouse feel mixed with a touch of southern tradition and rustic edge. I’m here to help you find where pretty meets practicality. Thirteen moves, sharing a home with a cowboy and a polar bear of a dog does a thing or two to set your decor priorities straight.
Ready for your dream home?
Let’s get personal.
My name is Lesa – like “Lisa” but with an “e” to keep people guessing. 😉 I was born and raised in a small(ish) East Texas town full of pine trees and football pride and spent my college years at Texas A&M University. During the first seven years of my career, I created marketing materials, coordinated events and wrote press releases for other companies.
Truth be told, I went into A&M a business major – I even wrote my entrance essay on how I wanted to follow the family tradition and own a small business one day. One semester in, after I realized how many accounting classes I had to take 🙈, I ended up an agricultural communications major which, with focus on writing on design, turned out to be a perfect fit.
Somewhere along the line, I picked up calligraphy and put those design skills to use on invitations, logo design and marketing materials for other small businesses. One gut decision led to another and, before I knew it, I was knee-deep in the world of letterpress and wax seals – and even added in a little antiques and home decor to feed my interior design dreams. Three years in, at a point when I expected it the least and needed it the most, things fell into place in a way that let me finally take the jump to turn my side-hustle into a full-time business.
So, here I am. Doing the thing I’ve always wanted to do. The small business life is a huge challenge but, with the opportunity to intimately work with my clients and bring their ideas to life, is so, so very rewarding.
